There was more to my last post..the one about whining...but for some reason it didn't save.  And I found myself not caring to fix it.  Because I was looking at inspiration sites on the internet.

I"ve found myself crafting a little lately.  Yep.  For real.  But even better than that, I've been taking photographs again.  I've decided to go ahead with the "Big Purchase" and stop putting myself down.  I can't wait!

I found myself in need of scrapbook paper recently.  Not that I scrapbook (I just can't seem to get into that)...but I needed some.  I felt overwhelmed!  I never realized how intense that area of the craft store was.  I knew it was big...it loomed each time I passed it...but I never ventured into it.  I felt lost.  I found myself talking to myself.  I wanted to run and cry somewhere.  But after a while I found what I was looking for and followed my bread crumbs back out into the rest of the store.  But you know what the kicker is?  That stuff...the papers and stickers and things...it was all so fantastic!  I need to find a lot more crafts that use paper!  (and from the looks of it I might need to rob a bank)

I'm always looking for fun things to make with the kids during the entire month of December.  We like to load our tree up with as many home-made goodies as possible.  I just came across this great origami wreath tutorial:  http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/2445510/35722764

and think we will have a lot of fun with these.  I will probably be doing the construction but they can go hog wild with glitter and glue and stickers.  And since they look so simple (and so cheap!) I can make tons of them and they can decorate one for every member of the family!

I want to hear your family crafting ideas.   Do you have a favorite craft?  Do you have a website that you either run or love that has great ideas?

In case  your feed brings you to our blog page I wanted to point out that E just posted her lovely nursery room wall hangings over in our Misc section.   Go check them out!  She did such a great job, even if she's plotting the demise of the creators of Mod Podge.  I can't wait to steal...i mean,  be inspired by...her idea!

My shuffle doesn't shuffle properly.  I hear the same songs a couple of times a day and there are some songs I feel I've never heard but I know that they are on there.  Sunday I deleted some of the songs that I've heard waaay too many times and added a bunch of extras.  Monday and Tuesday I spent the entire day at work skipping through songs that I didn't delete but that I had aleady heard that day.   Now my batteries are dead and it was charged on Sunday.  So dear dear ipod shuffle...I'm not happy with you.

But enough about that....

E is currently working on some awesome wall hangings for her baby's room.  She is going to post the step-by-step in Misc for us later this week.  Afterwards I will immediately rip-off her idea for my future neice or nephew.

I am still slowly planning out Christmas gifts.  I have been so wrapped up in Halloween and Future Baby Stuff that I've put that on the back burner...happens every year.

We want to hear from our readers.  If you are reading...let us know.  We adore comments.
