I think Miles is going to tell his dad about the purge and his dad is going to kick them out to save them...therefore Miles is going to create his own dadless future.   And I think that Hurley's obsession with the numbers is going to some how cause the numbers to be used in the Swan and lead to them being broadcast over the radio which would lead to the crazy guy repeating them which would lead to Hurley winning the lottery (and tons of other things)...

I think they are all creating their own futures.
